The 5 Best Asian Restaurants in London to Wok Your Way to a Great Meal

  • Menu Authenticity and Innovation: A good kitchen balances respect for classic recipes with fresh ideas. We looked at how well the chefs execute traditional dishes and whether their modern twists actually taste good.

  • Atmosphere and Setting: The dining environment can make or break a dinner date or a business lunch. We assessed seating comfort, lighting, and overall noise levels to see which space suits each diner best.

  • Pricing and Value: Good food should feel like a fair deal at any price point. We checked the typical bill for a full meal to ensure the quality on the plate matches the receipt.

  • Dietary Inclusions: It helps when a kitchen caters to different eating habits without treating them as an afterthought. We reviewed the availability of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options on the standard menus.

  • Location and Access: Nobody wants an impossibly difficult journey just for dinner. We considered how easy it is to reach the venue from central transport links.

A good dinner spot when you’re hungry is stressful to find, and the capital has so many options that making a choice feels impossible. You can end up walking around for an hour before settling on a mediocre plate of noodles.

If you want to skip that frustration, you need a place that delivers on flavour without the guesswork. To figure out the real highlights, we compared menus, prices, and dining vibes across the city.

Now, here’s our guide to finding the best Asian restaurant in London, and what makes each spot worth your time!

I couldn’t recommend it more highly

Absolutely phenomenal food, with the most exquisite flavours imaginable. The staff were the most amazing, helpful, and attentive, making the service truly exceptional. The cocktails were beyond delicious—simply the most incredible drinks. The entire experience was utterly extraordinary and unforgettable. Without a doubt, this is one of the best must-go-to restaurants in London, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

The highlight of our meal was the steak with fried duck rice – honestly one of the best dishes we’ve ever had

The highlight of our meal was the steak with fried duck rice – honestly one of the best dishes we’ve ever had. The steak was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavour, while the duck fried rice was simply unbelievable. Every bite was delicious, and you could really tell how much care goes into every dish.

We also had the fruit platter for dessert, which was beautifully presented and the perfect refreshing way to end the meal.

Fatt Pundit specialises in Indo-Chinese food from the Hakka community in Kolkata, blending Chinese cooking techniques with Indian spices. The combination creates bold flavours that appeal to anyone looking for something out of the ordinary.

The menu caters brilliantly to different dietary needs, with dedicated vegan and gluten-free sections. You can easily build a meal around the crispy okra salt and pepper or the burnt ginger rice without feeling restricted.

Our colleague visited last month and raved about the Malabar monkfish curry, which arrives grilled in a rich saffron butter.

The catch is that this distinct fusion style might deter diners who want a traditional, mild meal. Even so, if your group loves adventurous spices and heavy seasoning, this central spot is an excellent choice.

Pros

  • Unique Indo-Chinese flavour combinations
  • Serves Malabar monkfish curry in saffron butter
  • Dedicated vegan menu with crispy okra
  • Gluten-free options including burnt ginger rice

Cons

  • Indo-Chinese fusion may deter traditionalists

Fatt Pundit Covent Garden is such a solid spot for your Indo-Chinese fix

Fatt Pundit Covent Garden is such a solid spot for your Indo-Chinese fix — flavorful food, great vibes, and everything really hit the spot. Rutul took great care of us and recommended some amazing dishes.

Definitely don’t skip the Bombay prawns and honey duck — both were standout dishes. The momos were decent but probably the weakest thing we tried.

It was just the best for my taste buds

Visited Cho Asia in Putney recently and honestly, it was such a pleasant surprise

Visited Cho Asia in Putney recently and honestly, it was such a pleasant surprise. The food is a really interesting fusion of Asian flavours with some Indian touches that just work beautifully.

We started with the pani puri, which was quite a fun twist on the classic street food, and the bao buns were soft and packed with flavour. The bang bang cauliflower and hot & spicy tofu were excellent starters — perfectly crispy and full of punch.

What an amazing dining experience!

Food was delicious & perfectly seasoned

Excellent food.  Very authentic Malaysian food.  Service was excellent.  We had to wait a fair bit for a table however the front of house came out to make sure we were seen & brought out some hot tea for everyone waiting at the queue which was a lovely gesture.  We were served promptly by the waiter once seated & food arrived in around 30mins.  Food was delicious & perfectly seasoned.

One of the best Asian restaurants in London Chinatown!

One of the best Asian restaurants in London Chinatown! The lobster tail with yuzu sauce was incredibly refreshing and delicious, and the pork trotter claypot was rich, flavorful, and absolutely perfect with jasmine rice.

We also ordered the Thai lemon tea, which was very refreshing and tasted amazing. The service was excellent as well — all the staff were polite, friendly, and attentive. Even if there’s a queue, it’s definitely worth the wait. Highly recommended!

For this price, it might simply be the best food you can get in all of London

What can I say? For this price, it might simply be the best food you can get in all of london. We regularly to fly to london for the weekend since to visit friends and decided to give this one a try on our latest visit for lunch. The attention to detail and the amazing craftsmanship of the dishes are spectacular. You only paid about £40 for two for sizeable lunch, something that is becoming unheard of in london, let alone soho

I had a really lovely experience at this Taiwanese restaurant

I had a really lovely experience at this Taiwanese restaurant. It’s not very big, but it has a cosy and intimate atmosphere. Great spot for 1–2 friends, as the space is quite limited, but that’s part of its cosy and intimate charm.

The food is beautifully presented and very refined. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but the quality and flavours definitely make it worth it. As someone from Hong Kong, I can say the taste really suits my palate.
