5 Best Computer Repair Shops in London for a Quick Fix

Speed and Convenience: Broken tech doesn’t respect deadlines. I favoured speedy repairs, same-day service, walk-ins, and on-site visits.

Service Versatility: One-trick technicians didn’t make the cut. My picks handle various devices and fixes, from cracked screens to data recovery.

Transparent Pricing: Surprise fees aren’t the kind of reboot anyone wants. I prioritised clear quotes and free diagnostics where available.

Warranty and Aftercare: A repair should last beyond the journey home. I chose businesses offering dependable warranties and post-repair support.

I used to work with web design agencies, and once, my laptop chose five minutes before a presentation to conk out. Nothing sharpens your troubleshooting skills quite like a blank screen and an impatient client!

A broken laptop or sluggish PC can derail your week when work or university deadlines won’t budge. Thankfully, finding the best computer repair in London doesn’t need to become another crisis.

I’ve narrowed down the city’s standout repair shops and mobile technicians for faster, more reliable fixes. Here’s where to take your temperamental tech before you’re tempted to launch it onto the Tube tracks.

How much does computer repair cost in London?

Computer repair in London usually costs £45 to £80 per hour for diagnostics and labour. The final bill depends on the fault, replacement parts, and whether you need an on-site visit.

Virus or malware removal typically costs £50 to £120. Charging port repairs range from £60 to £120, while battery replacements cost around £60 to £180.

A laptop screen replacement generally costs £80 to £250, plus parts. SSD or memory upgrades cost roughly £80 to £150, excluding the new hardware.

For home or office visits, expect a callout charge of £80 to £150. Always ask whether diagnostics, labour, VAT, and replacement parts are included in the quote.

Website

Address: 40-41 Pall Mall

Contact: 0330 088 4468 | [email protected]

Hours: Mon–Fri 8:30 AM–6:30 PM; Sat 10 AM–5 PM

Computer Renovation is a handy Pall Mall stop when your laptop decides it’s had enough of cooperating. Its engineers tackle PCs, laptops, Macs, and data recovery from hard drives, SSDs, memory cards, USB drives, and RAID arrays.

Free diagnostics make the opening stage easier on both your nerves and wallet. The team aims to examine devices within 24 hours, or the same day where possible, before providing a fixed quote and estimated repair timeframe.

There’s a no-fix, no-fee policy, and completed repairs include a three-month warranty if the same fault returns. Do note that its repair warranty covers recurring faults, while replacement parts follow separate manufacturer or supplier terms.

Custom PC building is available too, which is useful when repairing your old machine starts feeling like flogging a dead motherboard.

However, the workshop is closed on Sundays, so weekend visits must fit into Saturday’s shorter hours.

Pros

  • Free diagnostics
  • Fixed quotes before repairs
  • No-fix, no-fee policy
  •
  • Data recovery for various storage devices
  • Custom PC building

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays
  •
  • Parts have separate supplier or manufacturer warranties

They fixed everything and got my PC running like new again.

My PC suddenly wouldn’t boot up, and I had no idea what was wrong. The team quickly identified the problem, where overheating had damaged several key components. They fixed everything and got my PC running like new again. Great people, really friendly and helpful. Beyond the initial repair, they went the extra mile by assisting with PC setup, driver installation, and hardware troubleshooting. Super patient with all my questions too.

I was very relieved that Computer Renovation were able to assist so quickly.

Constantine was excellent. Very helpful and provided a quick turnaround with my issues relating to BIOS and overheating. I had struggled to have the PC fixed elsewhere, so I was very relieved that Computer Renovation were able to assist so quickly.

Hours: Mon–Fri 9 AM–5 PM

Geeks on Wheels saves you from hauling a sulking desktop across London by offering on-site and remote support.

Its technicians help both home users and businesses, so the service isn’t just for offices full of blinking routers.

The team handles Windows PCs and Apple Macs, with services ranging from hardware installation and computer repairs to Wi-Fi networking.

Data recovery and system optimisation are available when your machine needs more than the classic switch-it-off-and-on-again treatment.

I particularly like the range beyond basic repairs, which includes cybersecurity and managed IT support. Customers can choose between assistance at the London office, a technician visit, or remote troubleshooting.

However, the company currently publishes only Monday-to-Friday hours, leaving no weekend availability.

Pros

  • Remote and on-site support
  • Covers residential and business needs
  • Expert cybersecurity and networking setup
  • Fast and reliable hardware troubleshooting

Cons

  • No weekend operating hours

I am very happy with the service provided.

I had a really tricky problem on my PC which defied all my efforts to fix it. The initial response from GOW was professional and Alex came well prepared to tackle my problem (related to packet loss) and he was able to fix the problem within the allocated hour. I am very happy with the service provided.

Will continue to use for all our PC problems in future, both hardware and software.

An excellent service always provided, knowledgeable and very reassuring, especially after experiencing a scam!  We recommend Geeks highly and will continue to use for all our PC problems in future, both hardware and software. Much better value than some other firms in this field.

Address: 15 New Row

Contact: 020 8616 8260

Hours: Mon-Sat 10 AM – 9 PM, Sun 11 AM – 7:30 PM

Covent Garden Tech Repairs earns points from me for opening seven days a week in the heart of London.

That generous schedule is handy when your laptop picks Sunday afternoon to stage its latest rebellion.

Some eligible computer repairs can be completed in around 45 minutes, although timing depends on the fault and parts availability. The team works on laptops, desktops, Macs, tablets, phones, and gaming consoles using premium-grade replacement parts.

Customers receive a fixed price before work begins, which helps keep nasty surprises off the final bill. Laptop screen repairs may be completed the same day when the required parts are in stock.

However, the shop doesn’t open before 10 AM on weekdays and Saturdays, or 11 AM on Sundays.

Pros

  • Open seven days a week
  • 45-minute repairs available for eligible faults
  •
  • Repairs a wide range of devices
  •
  • Provides fixed prices before starting work

Cons

  • No early-morning opening hours

4. Computer Repair Ltd

Website

Area served: Greater London coverage

Contact: 07904 638378 | [email protected]

Hours: Mon–Fri 9 AM–6 PM; extended emergency/off-hours support available

Computer Repair Ltd is handy when your computer gives up and you’d rather not carry it across London. Its engineers offer home and office visits, with remote support or workshop repairs available when the fault calls for them.

I like that you can describe the problem in plain English and let an engineer discuss the next step.

The service covers laptops, Macs and desktop PCs, as well as business computers and some printer or connection issues.

You’ll need to provide your postcode before the team can confirm which repair options are available, though. That’s worth doing early if a looming deadline has you bargaining with a frozen screen.

The repair method also depends on your location and the fault, so an engineer may not be able to fix everything during a home visit. If you’d prefer to drop off your device, check the workshop arrangements before travelling.

Pros

  • Free callouts inside the M25
  • Highly affordable flat-rate repairs
  • Fixes most issues on the spot
  • Convenient home and office visits

Cons

  •
  • No standard hours on weekends

An amazing experience and high level of knowledge of any pc issues including hardware.

An amazing experience and high level of knowledge of any pc issues including hardware. Had bent pins on my motherboard and they replaced the socket all at a great price. Highly recommend as they do everything in house snd will do rma stuff instead of being without your computer for days.

Highly recommended.

Brilliant service.  PC blew up just before I went on holiday.  Lee quickly provided a quote and, on agreement, completed the work.  Whilst I was away, Lee and my son were able to arrange return of the unit.  Really pleased with work completed.  Highly recommended.

5. All About Laptops

Website

Address: 285 Walworth Rd

Contact: 020 7701 8186

Hours: Mon to Sat 9 AM – 7 PM, Sunday 10 AM – 6 PM

All About Laptops has six London branches, making it handy when your computer throws a tantrum nowhere near home.

Walk-ins are welcome, so there’s no need to negotiate an appointment with your already uncooperative device.

The team offers same-day repairs and backs completed work with an advertised 24-month warranty. That’s a reassuringly long safety net when you’d rather not revisit the same fault next month.

Its technicians repair laptops, desktops, MacBooks, mobiles, tablets, and gaming consoles, alongside data recovery and water-damage work.

The company buys unwanted devices too, making it useful when repair feels less sensible than a clean break.

However, the Walworth branch doesn’t open before 9 AM, which won’t suit early commuters needing a pre-work drop-off. Sunday service ends at 6 PM, too, leaving little room for evening repairs before Monday’s rush.

Pros

  • Six London branches
  • Walk-ins welcome
  •
  • Advertised 24-month repair warranty
  •
  • Buys unwanted electronic devices

Cons

  •
  • Sunday service ends at 6 PM

Took it to All About Laptops and they fixed it in less than a day.

Excellent service. Moved to the UK recently and unfortunately my PC was damaged during shipping and was not turning on properly. Had no idea what the issue was. I initially took it to another repair store located right next to this one. That store had my PC for just over a week and then called me saying they couldn’t figure out what the issue was or how to fix it. Took it to All About Laptops and they fixed it in less than a day. Definitely recommend!

I had a in issue with my computer and they fixed it for a really good price.

I’ve had a great experience with All About Laptops. A month ago, I had a in issue with my computer and they fixed it for a really good price. This time went back as my computer seemed to have a similar issue and offered to repair for no extra cost. Faiz especially was super helpful and friendly.
