The 5 Best Vietnamese Restaurants in London for Your Next Noodle Craving

Menu Authenticity and Depth: A great menu offers more than just the familiar classics, which gives returning diners a reason to explore new flavours. We looked for kitchens serving regional specialities alongside their standard noodle soups.

Dietary Inclusivity: Trying to organise a group dinner falls apart quickly when the vegans or gluten-free eaters have nothing to order. Our team checked each venue for clearly labelled plant-based options and available allergen information.

Dining Atmosphere and Flexibility: A good venue has to match the mood of the meal you’re planning. We assessed reservation policies, seating styles, and closing times to see who the space suits best.

Value for Money: A steaming bowl of pho should feel like a satisfying deal rather than an overpriced luxury. I compared portion sizes against typical local prices to separate the genuine bargains from tourist traps.

I spent my twenties walking around Shoreditch in the rain, hunting for a bowl of noodle soup that actually tasted like the ones I had in Hanoi. But I found that most bowls just tasted like salted dishwater, which is a miserable way to spend lunch!

If you’re looking for Asian restaurants that’ll take you on a gastronomic journey, my team and I are here to help. We stuffed our bellies full to give you top-notch places that know how to cook up a storm.

We rounded up the best Vietnamese restaurants in London that simmer their broth properly and keep their herbs fresh. Let’s dig in!

The food is surprisingly delicious

They offer Vietnamese cuisine that is extremely delicious and has many different products. The place is small but very clean. The waiters are very respectful and polite, they inform you about the food. The food is surprisingly delicious, definitely try it.

Absolutely the best Pho Bo I’ve ever had

Absolutely the best Pho Bo I’ve ever had. I am afraid to try this soup elsewhere because this is the Etalon of Vietnamese Pho Bo. The place’s amazing and well seasoned broth, lots of great meat, sprouts, cilantro, pickled garlic, chili, onion…all these are what are standard here and missing elsewhere.

The best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had in London

What an absolutely fantastic find! Not only was the food the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had in London, the ingredients were fresh and the housemade soup for the pho was to die for. The kaya cheesecake is really unique, fluffy and light but oh so delicious. Service was quick, friendly and we had a really lovely chat with the sweet older lady who works there. We will definitely be coming back! 5 stars on everything ✨️ 😍

Juicy, flavourful and perfectly grilled

Had the Vietnamese lemongrass chicken rice today and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was juicy, flavourful and perfectly grilled with a lovely smoky aroma. The rice paired so well with the sauce, and the fresh vegetables balanced everything nicely. The fried egg on top was a great touch too. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service — definitely would come back again! 😊

The scallops were to die for

We were a party of three and decided to order starters that we could all share and enjoy. We got Vietnamese spring rolls, charcoaled spare ribs and charcoaled chicken wings, Hà Nội Prawn Cake, Grilled Scallops, fried rice, stir fried rice noodles with mushrooms, and grilled scallops. The standouts were the spare ribs, the prawn cakes and the grilled scallops. The scallops were to die for! I can’t wait to visit again!

One of the best Vietnamese meals I’ve had in London

Excellent Vietnamese food in a cosy setting. The pho was rich and flavourful, the beef wrapped in betel leaves was smoky and delicious, and the stir-fried water spinach was cooked perfectly. The scallops and squid with pineapple were fresh and well-balanced, while the soft-shell crab salad added great texture. Refreshing drinks, friendly service, and beautifully presented dishes throughout. One of the best Vietnamese meals I’ve had in London. Highly recommended.

Incredible, authentic Vietnamese food

This viet place serves incredible, authentic Vietnamese food. The okra was perfectly crisp and loaded with savory fried shallots, while the beef salad balanced rich meat with bright, punchy herbs. Combined with the crispy soft-shell crab, every dish was packed with fresh, vibrant flavor. It’s an absolute must-visit!
