The 5 Best Prenatal Massage Options in London for Mums Who Need a Break

  • Therapist Expertise: We checked if practitioners have specific training for maternal physiology and safe pressure points. Specialised knowledge helps keep both mother and baby safe during treatment.
  • Equipment and Comfort: A good pregnancy treatment requires proper bolsters and adjustable tables to support a shifting centre of gravity. We prioritised venues that use specially designed pregnancy beds for maximum physical comfort.
  • Service Variety: We looked for clinics offering flexible session lengths to match different energy levels. Options ranging from quick thirty-minute resets to ninety-minute luxury sessions scored much higher on our list.
  • Venue Atmosphere: Anxious mothers need a calming environment to achieve a true nervous system reset. We selected spaces with a quiet, relaxing atmosphere, away from busy city street noise.

Growing a tiny human is a beautiful journey, but it takes a toll on your body. Between the relentless backaches and overall fatigue, you deserve some serious relief.

That’s exactly why we set out to find the best prenatal massage in London. Getting a massage while pregnant isn’t just a luxury; it’s also a part of taking care of yourself and your baby.

Without further ado, here are the stellar local spots that cater to expectant moms and know exactly how to soothe those unique aches!

Website: https://asiaticthaimassage.co.uk/pregnancy-massage/

Address: 93 Upper Street, Islington

Contact: 020 7288 8702

Hours: Mon-Sun, 10:00 am-9:00 pm

Mothers dealing with upper-body tightness may appreciate Asiatic Thai Massage for its tailored prenatal and postnatal treatments. Each session here is adjusted to suit your stage of pregnancy and comfort level.

The massage focuses on the back, neck, and shoulders, which can help you relax and sleep better at night.

One client we spoke with visited their Angel studio during her second trimester and said the therapist helped ease the strain from her commuting posture.

Plus, the central location makes them a convenient stop for local residents.

However, this spot isn’t exclusively a prenatal clinic, so the waiting area serves a general audience. They also have two London locations, which can sometimes make booking a little confusing for first-time visitors.

Pros

  • Tailors massage to pregnancy stage
  • Targets upper-body tension
  • Offers postnatal care options
  • Open daily until late evening

Cons

  • Not a dedicated prenatal clinic
  • Two locations can confuse bookings

Had a lovely pregnancy massage with Tu today

Had a lovely pregnancy massage with Tu today. She found every area of tension and I feel so much lighter now. This was much better than any other place I’ve tried for pregnancy massage – rather than just being relaxing I felt like she really worked on my muscles.

This was my first time back since their refurbishment and the massage rooms are lovely.

I know they had to have specific trained staff for pregnancy massages

Have had multiple massages here. One of which was a (7 month) pregnancy massage, and it was absolutely brilliant massage by Jane. I have really bad shoulders and she worked on all the knots in them. I even had to reschedule a few times and the front of house was great about rescheduling, which I really appreciate – as I know they had to have specific trained staff for pregnancy massages.

2. Koia

koia

Address: 32-34 Notting Hill Gate

Contact: +44 (0)20 7229 8686; [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Sunday: 10:00 am-8:00 pm

Expectant individuals seeking extra comfort may want to consider Koia, which uses a specially designed pregnancy bed for treatments. This setup lets you lie down safely while gentle techniques help ease swollen legs.

They use nourishing oils during the session to keep the skin moisturised and support elasticity. Treatments are available from the second trimester onward, with 30-, 60-, or 90-minute appointments.

Many women visiting top fertility clinics even stop by the studio for a relaxing break and some much-needed downtime.

However, the longest pregnancy session is limited to 90 minutes, which may feel short if you’re looking for a longer massage. The centre also offers a wider range of beauty treatments, so they don’t focus exclusively on pregnancy services.

Pros

  • Uses a custom pregnancy bed
  • Applies oils for skin elasticity
  • Offers three flexible session lengths
  • Operates a full wellness centre

Cons

  • Longest session is only 90 minutes
  • Not a maternal-only specialist service

Absolutely love Koia the experience from start to finish is brilliant

Absolutely love Koia the experience from start to finish is brilliant. So calm and relaxing and love the small touches like tea and lemon water. My massages here have always been incredible whoever it’s with. I also had the best ever pregnancy massage here. Usually a pregnancy massage involves lying on your side and not really being massaged properly but they have the full tables with gaps for pregnant tums so it was so luxurious to be able to lie on your front!

The best massage in the town

We are going to Koia for a couple massage almost every month and always satisfied with the service. The place is very clean and spacious. They always have a light scent candles and fresh flowers at the reception. You will be offered some tea at the beginning and at the end of the section. Nice atmosphere in general, I believe the owner is really looking after that place. Recently, my wife went for 60 minutes pregnancy massage with Emilia. We actually booked 3 days in a raw, and it was amazing. The best massage in the town.

I can’t recommend this place more highly

I can’t recommend this place more highly. I’ve been coming for 4.5 years and the many different massage techniques have got me through two pregnancies (and post natal), helped me recover from several injuries and many stressful periods. Every single time I have left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and relaxed. The therapists are all exceptional and you are made to feel special. Thank you once again Artisa. So pleased to have you on my doorstep

Gift buyers looking for flexibility will appreciate MASAJ, which offers both advance bookings and walk-in pregnancy appointments.

One client we spoke with received a voucher as a gift and said the customised lymphatic drainage massage practically eased her painful calf cramps.

Had a wonderful prenatal massage

Had a wonderful prenatal massage, Milan put me at ease straight away and talked through what he was going to do.

The music, scent and oils added to the experience.

He focused on all the bits I wanted him to and even baby got a gentle massage too, would fully recommend as a treat!

As someone who is extremely heavy and due soon, I’m feeling rejuvenated and calm

I’ve had regular massages but it my first time doing a pregnancy massage – it was amazing. I m thank Jainaba enough for how well she treated me, I was soo relaxed I forgot I was pregnant. She was very lovely, made me feel comfortable and applied the right pressure for me. As someone who is extremely heavy and due soon, I’m feeling rejuvenated and calm. It was a surprise from my husband, wish I had found this place sooner to relax all these hormones!

5. LAYANA – Muswell Hill

layana-muswell-hill

Website: https://www.layana.co.uk/muswell

Address: 400, Muswell Hill Broadway

Contact: 0208 095 0415, [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Sunday: 10:00 am-9:00 pm

Mothers looking for a more holistic approach may appreciate LAYANA, which combines specialised pregnancy massage with a wider beauty menu. Their trained practitioners use gentle techniques to help ease tension and discomfort, including joint pain.

Regular treatments here can help you feel more relaxed and support better sleep. In fact, several women we know who are regularly visiting an osteopath clinic also use these spa services to manage ongoing pelvic girdle pain.

Plus, they’re open every day with extended evening hours, making it easier to fit a session into a busy schedule.

But since they offer a broad range of wellness services, they aren’t focused exclusively on pregnancy care.

Additionally, they have several branches across the city, which can confuse first-time customers about which location to choose.

Pros

  • Helps lower maternal cortisol levels
  • Improves energy and sleep quality
  • Offers extended evening operating hours
  • Uses gentle joint pain techniques

Cons

  • Not exclusively a pregnancy massage specialist
  • Multiple branches can cause confusion
