How much does a golf coach cost in London?
Golf coaching in London typically ranges from £20 to £140 per hour, depending on whether you choose a group clinic or private 1-to-1 PGA tuition.Elite head professionals at private clubs can charge £300+ per hour, while on-course playing lessons may cost around £170 per session.
1. Tee To Green Coaching

Website: https://teetogreencoaching.com/
Address: A1 Golf Activity Centre, Rowley Lane, Arkley EN5 3HW
Contact: 0330 113 9007
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Sunday: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Tee To Green Coaching isn’t just handing out generic swing tips. Here, they start with a detailed player M.O.T. evaluation to understand your natural movements, learning style, and biggest limitations.
Instead of forcing you into a one-size-fits-all program, the coach builds a tailored strategy around your swing habits and goals.
I booked an initial session here last month, and the coach immediately spotted a setup flaw that had been messing with my game for a year.
The instruction is easy to follow, too. The entire team is made up of highly qualified PGA members, so they know how to turn complicated swing keys into simple, usable advice.
They also offer practical on-course lessons, which is helpful if you want to sharpen your decision-making under real pressure.
Just note that practice range balls aren’t included; you’ll need to buy your own before starting, which adds a small extra cost to the day.

He made the lesson interesting and fun
Had my first golf lesson with coach amir dastgir,
To be honest I was quite nervous but was quickly put at ease . He made the lesson interesting and fun, improving my stance and I actually made a few good shots by the end of the hour. I was so impressed I booked a further six lessons

Better than before
I had my first lesson with Clive Dell. It was perfect. I am a late starter to golf (I’m now 70), also I have had a back operation. Clive gave me great coaching taking account of my back problem and lots of guidance (not too much!) that no other coach had ever given me. My shots were going (mainly!) straight and far. Better than before or expected. Thanks Clive you are a star!

2. The North London Golf Academy Ltd

Website: https://golflounge.co.uk/
Address: David Lloyd Sudbury Hill, Greenford Road, Greenford, Middlesex UB6 0HX
Contact: +44 7572 875 967
Hours: Every Day: 10:00 am-10:00 pm ; Friday nights practice: 6:00 pm -10:00 pm ; Saturday – Sunday practice: 5:00 pm – 9:00pm
The North London Golf Academy doesn’t practice the way most places do. The venue is built around one idea: make golf easier to fit into your routine, even when the British weather refuses to cooperate.
Instead of waiting for a dry day, you step into a high-tech indoor golf environment where every shot is tracked with serious accuracy.
The setup combines expert PGA instruction with TrackMan and GCQuad launch monitors, giving you clear ball data while you work on your swing.
I like that full members can pop in for unlimited daily bay practice. They even offer portable GCQuad monitor hire, allowing you to keep training at home for a full week.
Still, pricing likely reflects the premium simulator technology and central indoor setup.
They’re not the same as outdoor golf, either. If you want the feel of hitting off real grass, the simulator bay may feel limiting.

Thoroughly recommend him and the academy if you’re looking to improve your game

3. Bexleyheath Golf Academy

Website: http://www.bexleyheathgolf.com/
Address: Mount Rd, Bexleyheath DA6 8JS
Contact: +44 7886 213507
Hours: Monday – Sunday: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Golfers who prefer a more traditional setup will like what Bexleyheath Golf Academy offers. They give you the chance to sharpen your skills on an actual course, with coaching backed by TrackMan radar systems for more accurate swing feedback.
That format changes the feel of the lesson. Instead of practising in a basic indoor bay or a casual mini golf environment, you’re working on a beautifully maintained layout with real fairway challenges.
I like that the staff doesn’t overcomplicate things, too. They break down frustrating swing flaws clearly, so you can actually work on them without feeling overwhelmed.
It’s also nice to unwind at the clubhouse after a tough session. A quick drink after practice makes the whole experience feel more relaxed.
The only catch is the nine-hole layout. If you want to play a full eighteen, you’ll have to repeat the same loop.
4. JJ Putting Studio – Golf Lessons, Coaching and Fitting London

Website: https://www.jjputting.com/
Address: Old Fold Ln, Hadley Green, Barnet
Contact: [email protected]
Hours: Monday – Sunday: Open 24 hours
JJ Putting Studio is built for golfers who know their short game can make or break a round, not players looking for full-swing coaching.
I love that the entire setup focuses on putting mechanics. Their massive 20-foot adjustable platform green can tilt to recreate breaking putts, steep slopes, and tricky angles you’d normally only face on an actual course.
They back this up with tech, too. They use CAPTO and SAM PuttLab to give detailed visual feedback on your stroke, making it easier to see exactly what needs fixing
A local club player I spoke with even credited this system for helping them eliminate three-putts entirely.
On top of that, they offer putter fittings and online coaching plans with helpful video comparisons.
It’s worth noting, though, that everything here centers on putting. If you need help with your driver, irons, or overall swing, this isn’t for you.

I couldn’t speak more highly of what a classy professional he is
James is the best putting coach in the world. I’ve worked with him for 7+ years throughout college golf and now mid am golf. I’ve flown from California to London to see him and we also keep in touch with online lessons. I couldn’t speak more highly of what a classy professional he is. I’d highly recommend getting into his studio and learning from all of his knowledge about putting.

Explains everything very clearly and makes things look simpler
James is a great putting coach, he explains everything very clearly and make things look more simple. After only two lessons my putting went from 32 putts per round to about 27-28 putts per round – i feel much more confident. James coaching and advices are always based on his own expierience and acurate statistics.

5. Brian Lee Golf

Website: https://brianlee.golf/
Address: Beverley Way, New Malden
Contact: 07538 668336
Hours: Tuesday to Wednesday, Friday: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Thursday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Brian Lee Golf built the program around one idea: simplify your movements instead of filling your head with complicated swing theories.
Brian, the owner, knows amateurs and busy corporate professionals often learn better in a quiet space, so he teaches out of a private indoor environment where there’s no audience watching.
Only after using advanced camera systems to understand what your body and clubface are doing does he give honest, straightforward feedback. This helps you see exactly what’s happening at impact and how to build a more repeatable technique.
I like that the lesson doesn’t end once you leave the suite. He sends a personalised summary video afterwards, allowing you to review your changes and practice more confidently on your own.
That said, it’s not your typical outdoor range lesson. If you want to hit balls outside and watch full ball flight, the setup may feel limiting.

Hands down the best golf coach I have had
Hands down the best golf coach I have had. Brian is so friendly, supportive but not pushy, and is so relaxed and does not get frustrated. His explanations of how to ‘feel’ the right swing shape are tailored to make sense to the individual with their own experiences, which is so key. I a matter of a couple of lessons, my irons were going straight with 30 yards added. Brilliant. All from a friend’s recommendation, so I am just passing it forward!

Excellent golf coach
Brian is an excellent golf coach and a great guy too. Very easy to be around and has had a great impact on my game already in a short number of lessons. I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their game and will definitely continue to go to him in the future.
