Fancy singing along without leaving the piano accompaniment to someone else? At Singing and Piano Lessons, Yina teaches both skills, helping you explore more ways to enjoy your favourite music.

Lessons span classical, pop, musical theatre and crossover styles. You’re welcome whether you’re starting from scratch, working towards graded exams or simply playing for pleasure.

Yina brings teaching experience from London Piano School and The Hampshire Independent School in Chelsea. That background makes her an appealing option for students keen to develop their voice alongside their keyboard skills.

Plus, the Victoria studio is within walking distance of the station. Daily opening hours of 9:30 AM–9:30 PM also give you a broad window for arranging lessons.

Overall ability in music has gone beyond expectations

Yina has been a wonderful teacher for my 10-year-old daughter. Her attention to detail is outstanding, which led my daughter from beginner level to advanced level for both singing & piano in a very short span of time with a wide range of repertoire. She has recently been accepted to Purcell School with a scholarship. It’s not just the countless exams my daughter passed under Yina’s guidance, but her overall ability in music has gone beyond expectations.

Yina is brilliant

Yina is brilliant! My dad and I have all been her students. She gave us not only great technical tips from her extensive experience but also a really fun class, as she has a great, fun personality. Her own daughter is a great example of her teaching success – confident, a superb pianist and singer and with a great personality. I would keep going with her for sure if we didn’t live so far!

She is a great tutor and knows her stuff

I’ve been attending the London Piano Institute for about a year now. Really wish I’d found this organisation years ago; however, I’m at it now and really enjoying piano lessons. Because I do shift work, I needed flexibility with lessons, and the LPI does this for me, for which I’m grateful. My tutor, Naomi, is very talented. I’m a mature student, but she made me feel confident in my pursuit of mastering the piano. She is a great tutor and knows her stuff! Hoping for many more lessons to come.

Very passionate and expert piano teacher

Excellent piano lessons provided by a very passionate and expert piano teacher. She is thorough and methodical in her approach to teaching, and this is allowing me to make good progress on a weekly basis. I’m always inspired after each lesson to go away and practise what she has taught us in the group.
She is also patient with us, and deals with our queries and challenges in an engaged and helpful way. I’m enjoying the lessons, and I’m very happy to have made the move to learn to play this instrument at this stage in my life!

A real talent for adapting his teaching

We are extremely happy with Dan as our children’s piano teacher. His lessons are fun, relaxed, and completely pressure-free, which has made such a positive difference. The children genuinely enjoy their lessons and look forward to them every week. …

Detailed feedback on both technical skills and musical expression

I started taking weekly piano lessons with Dan after a colleague highly recommended him, and it has been an excellent experience. I had some piano experience as a child, and Dan has helped me quickly rebuild and strengthen my skills in a clear and structured way. His deep knowledge of music supports both theory and practical playing, which has really helped me progress quickly.

He gives detailed feedback on both technical skills and musical expression, and each lesson feels focused, productive and inspiring. I especially enjoy how he improvises and explains musical ideas. …

The school’s ability to adapt to my requirements

My recent weeks of intense study with the London Contemporary School of Piano were something I had been looking to do for some time. It wasn’t until I came across Tom Donald and his approach to teaching piano at all levels and the school’s ability to adapt to my requirements that my wishes became reality.

A sense of excitement about the piano

My daughter started lessons with Madeleine shortly after she turned 3, and despite the difficulties of keeping the focus of a toddler, Madeleine was unfailingly patient and managed to instil a sense of excitement about the piano that meant she was willing to practice daily. Through Madeleine’s gentle encouragement and flexible approach, we have made it through the first book of John Thompson’s piano course in about 18 months, and my daughter is enthusiastic about working through book 2

Well structured, yet tailored to my pace and abilities

I thoroughly enjoyed my piano lessons with Angus. He is a great teacher, always punctual and reliable. Angus’s lessons were well structured, yet tailored to my pace and abilities. I was very pleased with how much and how quickly I have learnt with Angus. I was also grateful for the flexibility with which I could have lessons around my work and other personal commitments. I strongly recommend Angus to anyone!
