The 5 Best Pet Grooming Shops in London for Pampered Paws and Shiny Fur

  • Coat and Skin Expertise: We evaluated how well each groomer handles different fur types, from double coats to delicate curls. Their staff must demonstrate advanced knowledge in safe de-matting and breed-specific styling.
  • Pet Comfort and Safety: We looked closely at how salons handle anxious, elderly, or rescue animals during treatments. The best locations use gentle, cage-free approaches and positive reinforcement to keep stress levels low.
  • Range of Treatments: We checked if the businesses offer specialised perks like ultrasonic teeth cleaning and skin therapy. Having access to these wellness add-ons gives owners a much more comprehensive spa experience.
  • Convenience and Accessibility: We assessed the ease of appointment booking and the overall location layout for urban pet parents. Salons offering clear scheduling and practical neighbourhood spots scored much higher.

Imagine your four-legged companion coming home from an exciting time at the dog trainer facility, but with muddy paws after a rainy day of outdoor classes. As much as you’re grateful for their pawsitive changes, stamp pads across the hallway are a no-no!

We rounded up the best pet grooming services in London because they need a trip to the salon, too! If your furry friend likes lying on the grass or is a high-maintenance breed, these spots will make sure they come out looking spiffing!

Let’s explore the finest places to keep your pets looking and feeling fantastic!

Alfie’s groom turned out amazingly well

Fantastic service! Alfie’s groom turned out amazingly well, his coat is super soft, and the rounded trims on his face and paws are just perfect. He looks like a sweet little cotton ball! Thank you so much for taking such great care of him 🫶 …

Highly recommend

We love coming here with our little Shichon Lebowski. He’s a nervous boy and often apprehensive at first – but so happy when we come and pick him up after his groom and he looks dapper every time! Highly recommend!

Thank you for taking such great care of my pups all these years

It’s hard to find a groomer you can fully trust, but Hair of the Doggy has earned my trust a hundred times over. I highly recommend them to any pet owner looking for reliable, compassionate, and high-quality grooming services.

Thank you for taking such great care of my pups all these years!

I recently discovered this groomers and couldn’t be happier with our experience

I recently discovered this groomers and couldn’t be happier with our experience! They did an absolutely perfect job grooming my Bichon Frise- Millie was beautifully styled, shaped, and cut to just the right length. I really appreciated how mindful they were of her age (she’s 11) and took extra care to be gentle with her fur. Millie can get quite anxious going for a groom, but seemed to settle almost immediately with the lovely lady who groomed her.

Their work is so special

It’s the third time I bring Teddy to have his grooming with Kadu and his team.

Their work is so special. They have patience and they groom his exactly as I want it. They also make suggestions as how it would look better and leave notes on the system so they know it every time.

They also put a very cute bandana on him every time it’s so cute.

We can’t wait to return

Rex has been groomed exclusively at the pet spa, I take him in every 3-4 weeks, his coat is exceptional, all staff know him by name, he is always happy to go in and not anxious AT ALL.

Very good service and experience on puppy’s first groom. We can’t wait to return

They customise sessions carefully to match your puppy or senior dog’s personality and coat type. Plus, they only use premium shampoos to ensure quality results, especially for sensitive skin.

We like their specialised Puppy Intro to Grooming service, where they carefully introduce pups up to four months old to the grooming salon environment.

The main downside is that their focus remains strictly on dogs, leaving cat owners out of luck.

  • Full groom includes facial and pawdicure
  • Tailored senior and puppy care
  • Puppy Intro to Grooming service available

Cons

  • Strictly dog-focused service

We’ll definitely be back

I couldn’t be happier with the service today! The two girls who groomed my dog were absolutely lovely—so friendly, caring, and professional from start to finish. They took such great care of my dog, and it really shows in the amazing grooming result. My dog came back looking fantastic and seemed so happy and relaxed.

I used to take my dog to a different groomer, and he would always come out looking scared and nervous. Today was completely different. He came out happy, relaxed, and comfortable, which meant so much to me. We’ll definitely be back!

She looks and smells amazing, thank you so much

First time for our little rescue dog at the grooming salon and we had an amazing experience at Pawlour Spa! From the reassuring conversation with the staff to the calm environment and the care they took to keep me updated – you can tell they really care. She looks and smells amazing, thank you so much!

Incredibly gentle, patient, and caring throughout the whole process

I took my cat Kiko to Mario for a full groom and couldn’t be happier with the service. Mario was incredibly gentle, patient, and caring throughout the whole process. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about animals and takes the time to make them feel comfortable.

Kiko came home smelling amazing and his coat was so soft and clean. What impressed me most was how attentive Mario was to Kiko’s reactions—if Kiko didn’t like something, he would slow down, adjust his approach, and make sure he wasn’t becoming stressed.

I only trust Mario to groom Monty

Mário is an amazing professional, the care and love that he gives to the pet while grooming them is so special, he treats them like they’re his, I totally recommend him to anyone, Monty loves him so much and trusts him to a point he lets him touch and hold his paws, he hated that, I only trust Mario to groom Monty.
