5 Best Apartments in London That Are Worth Making a Move

  • Amenities and Comfort. A good flat shouldn’t make you miss your hotel. We looked for well-equipped kitchens, comfy bedding and reliable Wi-Fi.

  • Location and Convenience. Your stay shouldn’t revolve around the commute. We prioritised easy Tube access and nearby attractions.

  • Service and Support. Check-in shouldn’t be your first London puzzle. We looked for smooth arrivals and responsive support.

  • Flexibility and Terms. Booking a stay shouldn’t feel like applying for a mortgage. We favoured clear terms and manageable booking changes.

  • Pricing and Value. Surprise charges aren’t a welcome souvenir. We checked utility inclusions and whether the comforts justified the cost.

A London stay feels much nicer when you can unpack without climbing over your suitcase. A lovely sofa helps, but room to put your feet up is the real treat.

If you’re browsing London motels, an apartment might feel more like your own little base. There’s something comforting about making a cuppa in your own kitchen after a busy day.

Finding the best apartment in London starts with knowing what’ll make you feel at home. These picks will help you weigh up the space, location and everyday comforts.

How much does an apartment cost in London?

Monthly rents range from £750 for a basic shared room to £4,550 for a central two-bedroom flat. The price depends on the size and location.

A studio or room in a flat-share costs £750–£1,800 per month. These options offer different levels of space and privacy.

A one-bedroom flat in Zones 3–6 costs £1,750–£2,050 per month. In central Zones 1–2, expect £2,200–£2,500 per month.

A two-bedroom apartment costs £2,800–£4,550 per month. Central locations tend towards the upper end.

Hours: Check-in time: 2 PM | Check-out time: noon

At 9 Hertford Street Apartments, the 55 m² Capital Classic and 77 m² Mayfair Club flats give you space to unpack properly.

The fully equipped kitchens let you enjoy breakfast in your pyjamas, with coffee machines and dishwashers keeping things easy. A washing machine is handy for longer stays or the occasional souvenir spill.

Super king-size beds offer a welcoming retreat after sightseeing, while dedicated desks cater for working days. When you’re ready to head out, Green Park and Hyde Park Corner stations are nearby.

That said, apartments accommodate up to four guests, so larger families need separate flats. Also, additional beds occupy the living area, making the layout less suitable for guests wanting separate bedrooms.

Pros

  • Spacious flats measuring 55–77 m²
  • Fully equipped kitchens with coffee machines and dishwashers
  • In-apartment washing machines
  • Super king-size beds and dedicated workspaces
  • Near Green Park and Hyde Park Corner stations

Cons

  • Maximum of four guests per apartment
  • Additional guests sleep in the living area rather than a separate bedroom

Customer Reviews

My family and I recently stayed here and had a great experience.

My family and I recently stayed here and had a great experience.   The communication with the staff ahead of time was excellent.   We were able to arrange an early luggage drop-off.  Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the apartment was clean and furnished with everything we needed.  You also can not beat the location.

Best stay ever!

My favorite place in London! This is my home away from home. I stayed recently with my son at 9 Hertford Street and loved everything during my stay. Aude is the best host in town, with her very kind and helpful team. Thank you for the best mother-son stay in London. The area is a little village and the best location to visit the city. The bed is so comfortable, and the kitchen is very well equipped. This address is very confidential and cosy. Best stay ever!

Address: 13A North Audley Street, Mayfair

Hours: Check-in time: 2 PM | Check-out time: 11 AM

A kitchen for lazy breakfasts makes The Urban Retreat Apartments feel like a welcoming London base.

Utilities, Wi-Fi and Sky TV are included as well, so there’s less everyday admin to juggle. A housekeeping service takes cleaning off your holiday list, leaving more time to enjoy the neighbourhood.

There’s even concierge support to help you find your bearings, while secure video entry offers added reassurance. Options for short and extended stays suit a city break or a longer working visit.

I love that these Victorian Mayfair flats put Selfridges and Hyde Park within easy reach, whether shopping or a stroll takes your fancy.

Still, the Connaught Suite has nine stairs beyond the lift landing, so it won’t suit guests needing step-free access.

Its £500 refundable damage deposit also increases the upfront payment, with repayment subject to inspection.

Pros

  • Mayfair location near Selfridges and Hyde Park
  • Fully equipped kitchens
  • Utilities, Wi-Fi, Sky TV and housekeeping included
  • Concierge support and secure video entry
  • Short and extended stays available

Cons

  • Connaught Suite has nine stairs beyond the lift landing
  • Connaught Suite requires a £500 refundable damage deposit, subject to inspection

Customer Reviews

Will always check their availability first when travelling to London!

Urban Retreats has excellent customer service. This was our second time staying with them. Check in is simple and they are willing to let you arrive early if available which is always appreciated after an international flight. Mayfair location is convenient. Apartment is clean and well maintained! Will always check their availability first when travelling to London!

This was an amazing stay.

This was an amazing stay. In the heart of London, with everything the city can offer only two Tube stops away. The Apartment was clean, well stocked, and professionally managed. Pictures can be taken to make spaces look better than they really are; not in this case the reality is better than the pictures. This is a beautiful and very comfortable space to visit the city in. Check-in was a breeze, and Lorraine sent us a huge list of recommendations for the local area. We were not disappointed by a recommendation she gave us.

Having somewhere to make a cuppa and put your feet up helps London feel more like home. Be London offers serviced apartments in neighbourhoods including Covent Garden and Soho, for city breaks and longer stays.

The British-made beds and comfortable sofas welcome you back after a busy day. There are also well-equipped kitchens that make eating in easy, while large televisions suit a cosy night off from sightseeing.

I love the weekday evening and weekend enquiry support, which makes planning your stay easier. Self check-in is also available daily, so you don’t have to squeeze your arrival into office hours.

On the flip side, Greek Street apartments can experience nightlife noise, especially at weekends. These flats also have no lift, making them less suitable for guests who need step-free access.

  • Options for short and extended stays

Customer Reviews

From the moment we arrived, it felt like a home away from home.

A wonderful apartment!

We stayed here for two weeks (5–18 July 2026). It was just the two of us (my 17-year-old son and me), and the apartment was the perfect size for our stay. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a home away from home.

Great place for a family stay in London.

Great place for a family stay in London. Travel cot and high chair provided, plus laundry and dishwasher in unit. Also provided fans and portable AC, which was great during the heatwave and a much appreciated touch. Kitchen well stocked – we cooked breakfast every day at the apartment. Bedrooms were a great size, and backing up to the canal makes it very private and quiet.

Thanks so much

Thanks to the entire team. Right from proactive information to a lovely home away from home, things were impeccable. Location was central and within easy walking distance; the locality had great food joints in Leather Lane just opposite.

The kitchen was well equipped, and the ice pack in the fridge was like a real wow when I hurt my back. Thanks so much

Immaculate place with everything you could need in a home.

Immaculate place with everything you could need in a home. It’s spacious, comfortable and incredibly relaxing. I really enjoyed staying there and being able to recharge before our next outing.

I couldn’t recommend this place enough. I felt so relaxed and well looked after that I didn’t even need to speak to Frankie, despite his frequent check-ins via message and email. A fantastic stay!
