Whether you’re driving your own vehicle or using a car rental for a weekend getaway, keeping your ride spotless shouldn’t be a chore. Here are our favourite local spots that deliver fantastic results every single time!

1. Kensington’s Car Wash
Website: https://www.kensingtonscarwash.co.uk/
Address: 2 Holland Road
Contact: [email protected]
Hours: Monday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Wednesday – Sunday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Long-standing heritage sets Kensington’s Car Wash apart from typical neighbourhood car washes. The team has cleaned local vehicles since 1988, using straightforward pricing based on vehicle size rather than the brand you drive.
Every wash starts with a contactless rinse to remove loose grit, then the team gives your car a gentle hand wash and Autoglym polish finish.
When we interviewed a client who dropped their car off before a weekend trip, they said the team had the exterior gleaming in under 30 minutes.
The covered bay here also has plenty of clearance for larger vehicles while keeping the team protected from rainy weather.
Just keep in mind that the car wash closes every Tuesday. And extremely dirty vehicles may incur extra charges.

2. The Wash
Website: https://thewashlondon.com/
Address: Arch 185, Hercules Road, Lambeth
Contact: [email protected]
Hours: Monday – Sunday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Careful attention and a personal touch define The Wash. Instead of harsh spinning brushes, the team uses soft microfiber mitts and gentle hand-polishing techniques to clean your car.
They handle everything from quick weekday exterior washes to full multi-stage paint correction.
For added convenience, they stay open late every day of the week, making it easier for busy commuters to drop by after work.
Just a heads-up: drivers looking for a lightning-fast drive-through tunnel will want to look elsewhere.
Regular subscription members also get priority booking slots, but that can sometimes mean longer waits for drop-in visits during busy weekend hours.

Outstanding work from the whole team
If reviews allowed it, I would give six stars without hesitation. Easily the best car wash experience I’ve ever had, and I will now go out of my way to come back here rather than anywhere closer.
Outstanding work from the whole team.

I’ve been using this car wash for 20 years, and the service has always been top-notch. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring my car looks great every time. I also love their loyalty program – after every 10 washes, the 11th is free, which is a great bonus for regular customers like me

4. Wash Doctors

Address: Corser House, Whitchurch (Mobile service includes London)
Contact: 0333 051 0930

Ultimate doorstep convenience makes Wash Doctors a practical choice for busy Londoners. You can book a detailed wash through your phone in just a few seconds, without leaving your office desk or living room sofa.
Their mobile vans also carry their own water and power supplies, so you won’t need to provide an outdoor tap or power outlet. From there, experienced valeters can handle everything from basic maintenance washes to ceramic coatings and machine polishing.
For added convenience, the team handles the setup while you get on with your workday.
However, drivers who prefer traditional fixed garage bays will need to look elsewhere. Additionally, bad weather or heavy city traffic can sometimes cause minor arrival delays during peak hours.

Very rare to have the service I received
Frank (AYSCARWASH) was simply incredible. The convenience of having someone come to you is second to none. My 4×4 Range Rover evoque is literally gleaming as he did such a thorough job… It was actually quite dark but Frank didn’t miss a spot! I would highly recommend Frank and Wash Doctors and I will certainly be using him/ them again.

5. Battersea Power Wash
Website: https://batterseapowerwash.com/
Address: The Power Station, Car Park, 1 Circus Rd W, Nine Elms
Contact: 020 3633 8052
Hours: Monday to Sunday 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Specialised paint care and high-end detailing make Battersea Power Wash a strong choice for luxury vehicle owners.
Their trained technicians use careful washing methods designed for delicate finishes, exposed carbon fibre, and carbon ceramic brakes.
The team also knows how to handle rare exotics like Ferraris, Porsches, and McLarens.

What’s more, you can leave your vehicle in secure underground bays while you shop or dine upstairs. This setup makes it easier to fit detailed car care into a busy day.
Unfortunately, the premium services focus mainly on high-end vehicles rather than everyday commuter cars.
