It tasted and looked amazing!

Mitty makes fantastic cakes, she was very communicative and easy to work with. She made us a birthday cake for my mother’s 60th. It was a 2 layer carrot and vanilla cake. It tasted and looked amazing!

I would recommend this place to friends & family.

Had my birthday cake from here the chocolate hazelnut cake – it was delicious. I don’t usually like chocolate cakes I find them heavy or rich. This one from cutter & squidge was light, moist & not overly sweet – just perfect.

Thank you very much for your great service. I would recommend this place to friends & family.

I ordered a cake from Crumbs and Doilies for my daughters 3rd Birthday just on the off chance and hadn’t tasted their cakes previously. A neighbor of mine swears by their vegan raspberry velvet for family birthdays, noting that the texture stays wonderfully rich.

Beyond their classic bakes, you can easily pick up wheat-free chocolate options or specialized vegan treats. Their skilled team accommodates these dietary needs without ever sacrificing that dense, decadent flavor.

Sometimes your party demands a showstopper cake that tastes as brilliant as it looks.

I grabbed their famous Red Velvet birthday cake for a family gathering recently. The sponge felt unbelievably moist while the thick cream cheese frosting hit the absolute sweet spot.

To make gifting and party planning easy, they offer reliable shipping across the country. Plus, they protect nationwide deliveries in special compostable insulation to keep delicate cake layers completely secure in transit.

The only things to keep in mind are that securing a guaranteed next-day delivery requires you to finalize your order strictly before 4 PM. Relying on same-day delivery can also be risky since it depends entirely on active driver availability.

Thanks so much!

Cannot recommend enough. Brilliant service. We were visiting London from Ireland and ordered a birthday cake to the hotel we were staying in. Really appreciate the tracking information, we were informed at every stage via email with an estimated arrival time. The cake was so moist and fluffy. The nicest cake I think we’ve ever ordered for a birthday. Great portion size too. Thanks so much!

5. Chinatown Bakery

chinatown-bakery

Website: https://chinatown.co.uk/en/bar-cafe/chinatown-bakery/

Address: 7 Newport Pl

Contact: 020 7287 7995

Hours: Monday to Sunday: 10:30am – 9pm

Wandering through bustling city streets often leads to the most spectacular hidden flavor gems. Chinatown Bakery captivates hungry passersby right away with its mesmerizing Taiyaki machine constantly pumping out warm, soft fish-shaped waffles.

They specialize in authentic Asian pastries and adorably decorated animal-shaped cakes that kids absolutely love.

Building on that artisan street-food style, a trusted pastry chef friend recommended their sweet treats to me after I mentioned craving something unique.

Once you step inside, you’ll definitely want to devour their squishy custard buns and vibrant Pandan Swiss rolls. The bright green pandan plant brings a unique, aromatic tropical flavor profile that dessert lovers constantly crave.

It makes a fantastic spot to visit after hunting for treasures at local vintage shops around London.

That said, it’ll be hard to grab a quick pastry here before your morning commute since they open a bit later in the day.

Also, they carry a smaller selection of traditional multi-tier celebration cakes compared to standard Western bakeries.

Pros

  • Authentic Asian sweet treats
  • Live Taiyaki waffle machine
  • Unique tropical pandan flavors
  • Cute animal-topped kid cakes

Cons

  • No early morning hours
  • Limited traditional cake varieties

This is a lovely, cozy little Japanese bakery with a huge and impressive variety of baked goods. Everything looks delicious and fresh.

I picked up a couple of items, including a bread roll and a slice of their sponge cake. So far, I’ve only tried the sponge cake, and it is absolutely outstanding—so light, fluffy, and delicious!

Highly recommend stopping by.
